Sports Center – Outdoor courts

When weather is nice, you can practice sports on outdoor courts:
• Court for team sports- Play basketball, handball or futsal with your friends on paved court next to the Toplice Hotel.
• Clay tennis courts - In a pleasant, quiet environment you can play a singles or doubles tennis match on three outdoor clay courts, which are during the season open every day (until dark).
• Sand court
• Sand court in the camp, in the approximate vicinity of the Indian village, is intended for sand volleyball or handball.

The outer dimensions of the court are: 32 m x 18 m (one handball court or two volleyball courts)

Cycling routes

Sports for Fun, Fun for Well-Being

Ride a bike over one of the four cycle routes in the Brežice Municipality, suitable for experienced and recreational cyclists. The trails run over less busy roads, hills and valleys and pass rich natural, cultural, historical and ethnological heritage in the Municipality of Brežice.

You will soon forget the difficult ascents and remember only the pleasant impressions.

During the cycling season you can rent a bike at the camp's reception or at TIC in Terme Čatež.

The start and finish point of cycling trips is Terme Čatež.

The diverse culinary range of the Grill Restaurant, which is in the approximate vicinity of the apartments and the camp will make sure you enjoy your holiday without having to cook.

Its menu includes something for everyone: barbecue dishes, pizzas, dishes on request and daily breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. It offers takeaway as well.

You are invited to a summer visit to the "Pri kapitanu" Restaurant in the camp, at an idyllic location next to the lake.

Holidays at Čatež are full of adventures and also an excellent starting point for excursions in the nearby area.

Explore the hiking paths in the vicinity of Terme Čatež or take a bicycle trip over varied routes.

The town of Brežice boasts rich natural and cultural heritage, which visitors can admire every step of the way. Visit numerous castles that have left a mark on the town and the surroundings: Mokrice Castle with a top restaurant and a 200-year old English park, Brežice Castle hosting the Posavje Museum and the Knights' Hall as well as the Pišece Castle and Bizeljsko Castle, watching over the nearby vineyards. In the centre of Brežice the Water Tower is proudly reaching towards the sky. We also recommend you take a walk across another feature that the town is known for – the old bridge across Sava and Krka.

In the Bizeljsko region the hospitable locals will be happy to show you the unique "repnice" - caves, dug in flint-stone, and invite you to a glass of exquisite wine. You will take a peek into the nest of the interesting European bee-eater. The ethnographic collection and blacksmith museum will take you several hundred years back into the past.

Look for a corncrake which nests only in the Jovsi Natural Reserve.

At Pišece you should visit the homestead and the memorial collection of Slovene linguist Maks Pleteršnik.

You are also invited to visit the Pleterje Monastery, the Božidar Jakac Gallery and Forma viva in Kostanjevica.

While hiking in the Gorjanci, the hills with numerous water springs, known for legends and fairy tales, you might run into the Čatež Dwarf. According to the legend, where the Čatež Dwarf was seen, people often found springs of good water.
